Prior to entering the MBA program at the David Eccles School of Business, Brittany graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in International Studies and a minor in Asian Studies. She is the recipient of the Roger H. Nelson Entrepreneurship Scholarship and the Pierre Lassonde Entrepreneur Scholarship. Brittany speaks fluent Thai.
Brittany worked for 7 years in the health care industry in sales, marketing, operations and business management and in residential and commercial real estate. Most recently, she has worked with the Pierre Lassonde Entrepreneur Center as Chair for the Utah Entrepreneur Challenge, Utah’s largest student business plan competition. In this role, Brittany read and judged over 100 business plans, networked with local business professionals, planned the first annual Student Entrepreneurs Conference and the Utah Entrepreneur Challenge Final Awards Banquet.
Brittany joined UVF in May 2009 and has participated in 4 investment projects including, TrustedID, Ancora Pharmaceuticals, Intelisum, and Transpond and over 8 value-add projects. Upon graduation from the University of Utah in May 2010, Brittany would like to work with a Real Estate Investment Trust or a real estate venture capital firm that invests primarily in senior housing projects such as Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities. Brittany is a member of the Women’s Technology Council and the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. Her interests outside of academia and work include time with family, traveling, reading, and running.
