Trenton Murphey is a senior finishing his bachelor’s degrees majoring in both finance and physiology with a minor in Spanish at Brigham Young University. He currently is Vice President of the Marriott School Student Council and was President of Brigham Young's community service center where he oversaw more than 115,000 hours of service rendered. He recently participated in a UVF team that was awarded 3rd place in the Global Case Challenge in Boston. He has been named a Heritage Scholar.
While at UVF, Trenton has led and participated in several successful investment teams: Barosense, TrustedID, American Achievement, Transpond and Socialtext. His passion for community service and business has motivated him to lead internship teams for Kiva and Peery Foundation. His interest in medicine compelled him to participate in a paid research internship at Kootenai Cancer Center in the summer of 2008.
He will soon apply for medical school and following medical school he hopes to fuse his medical and business experiences as a venture capitalist specializing in medical devices. He is fluent in Spanish after serving a two-year mission in Argentina. He remains very active in his church and community and is currently the assistant scout master of a local troop. He enjoys sports and actively participates in intramural programs and community leagues.
