Josh is currently seeking an MBA at University of Utah. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Nutritional Biochemistry during which he received a full academic scholarship. There, Josh performed extensive paid research for the Colleges of Biology and Physics in atomic force microscopy, nano-molecular resolution, Influenza M1 viral protein, and cell membrane topography.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Josh worked for JPMorgan Chase as a Business Banker. There he received his Series 6, Series 63, and life insurance licenses. Josh ranked nationally in the top 5% of Business Bankers. He is distinguished for his ability to effectively manage critical customer relationships and for leading a team of bankers to increase their area wealth portfolio by 40% in six months.
At UVF, Josh performs due diligence on a variety of deals in industries such as financial services, medical technologies, and computer technologies. Additionally, he performed a value-add project for Andreessen Horowitz and serves as board observer for Daz3D. Josh also serves as CFO for Silencerco, a firearms suppressor manufacturer. There he is responsible for market analysis, business strategy, economic modeling, mergers and acquisitions, and forecasting. He also enjoys native Spanish and Mongolian fluency. His hobbies include classic literature, mystery novels, racquetball, billiards, rifle and pistol shooting, and spending time with his wife and two boys.
