Parker Ence is a Senior at the University of Utah working towards an Honors Economics degree with an emphasis in econometrics and business. At the U, he has served as President of the Student Alumni Board, leading the Utes to win all categories in the Annual Utah Food Bank Rivalry Food Drive for the first time in 14 years, breaking every previous food and money record. He is currently working on his Honors Thesis, an analysis of "Do students who pay for college value their education more?" While at the U, Parker received the Honors at Entrance Scholarship, awarded to the top 3% of U students, and was selected to be part of the Utah Chapter of Skull and Bones on the basis of leadership and contributions to the school.
Parker is currently working as an Associate at UVF. He also does business development for a start-up, managing supply chain and developing sales and marketing systems. In addition, he is a director for the Utah Entrepreneur Challenge, the second largest student business plan competition in the U.S. Previously he worked for Utah Science Technology and Research (USTAR) in technology commercialization consulting, working to help local universities and entrepreneurs take their innovation to market. His favorite project was helping a high tech ski company develop a go-to-market plan for entering the snowboard market.
Parker enjoys teaching guitar, Crossfit, and spending time with his wife, Laci. Parker's dream career involves being an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and part-time rock star.
