Tyrel ("Ty") Fitzpatrick started with the University Venture Fund in May 2010. While a student at BYU he noticed how inefficient his apartment building was, and after conducting a cost/benefit analysis, successfully pitched the owner to become the new manager and minority owner of the complex. After the apartment complex was sold and he profitably cashed out, Ty fell in love with the roller coaster of entreprenuership.
He hopes his experiences with UVF will help him develop the skills needed to persue an entrepreneurial career in clean technologies. While he is fascinated by the challenges and opportunities of globalization, he is also quite fond of sports, reading and curry.
